Tuesday Night At El Bily, Vinales

During our stay in Viñales, we visited many charming places, but without a doubt the center of nightlife was El Bily – head there if you want to eat and then dance until nightfall. Despite the long hours and the lack of electricity, Bily made the valley party. Honestly, I thought it was quite a challenge to find a place like this in the middle of the mountains. The atmosphere, the selection of traditional music linked to Cuban urban songs covered in salsa and other musical styles gives the place a unique touch. A place where tourists and locals mingle to the rhythm of son music and jump joyously, dancing to salsa.

El Grito had the opportunity to chat with several of the musicians about their musical tastes and how a restaurant like Bily offers the opportunity to do what they love and earn a living. That night, we were joined by a couple of new Spanish friends, Carlos and Ana, whom we met in the taxi on the way to Viñales. They helped us record a night of great salsa, reggaeton, and beer in the small town of Viñales for our audience to enjoy.
